Welcome

At Rocky Mountain Australian Labradoodles, Karen Elliott's passion for developing quality Standard and Medium size Australian Labradoodles started in 2004 and continues today.

We are committed to responsible breeding - our dogs are tested before breeding according to the ALAA standards and live in a home environment, not a kennel.

We encourage you to learn more about us here.

Labradoodle Information

  • The Labradoodle originated in Australia as a cross-breed between Poodles and Labrador Retrivers (no Australian Shepherds in this line!)

  • There are three recognized Australian Labradoodle sizes (Mini, Medium, Standard)

  • Labradoodles are allergy-friendly and either do not shed or shed very little. However this means they need regular grooming as their hair can get quite long.

Guardian Homes

Our breeding dogs live at home with their human family. This means they do not live in a kennel/puppy mill situation and therefore do not  need to be re-homed when they are retired.  They're already home!

Becoming a Guardian Home to a puppy is a great option for those who are seeking a cost-effective way to add one of our "pick of the litter" puppies to their family. It is also very rewarding for those who enjoy learning about the breeding and whelping process, not to mention having their dog contribute to the growth of the breed.
